Country singer Suzy Bogguss is partnering with Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores for an exclusive release of her latest album, "American Folk Songbook." The album will be available on July 18th at all Cracker Barrel locations, and can later be found in stores and online August 2nd.
Fans who purchase the album will also receive a 96-page companion songbook which includes illustrations, the history behind each song, sheet music for piano arrangements, and personal insight from Suzy.
Bogguss found inspiration for the 17-songs after touring with Garrison Keillor in 2008. The album which Bogguss solely produced also consists of well-named acoustic musicians from Nashville. Jerry Douglas accompanies Bogguss on the Dobro, Stuart Duncan plays the fiddle, and Pat Bergeson's on guitar.
A few tunes that can be found on "American Folk Songbook" include, "Shenandoah," "Wayfaring Stranger," "Ol' Dan Tucker," "Rock Island Line," and "Beautiful Dreamer."
