Reprise/Nashville artist Blake Shelton has announced that he will release his ninth album entitled, "Red River Blue" on July 12th The album is produced by Scott Hendricks and includes Shelton's number one single "Honey Bee."
"Honey Bee" was Blake's fastest rising single to date. During its first week the single sold over 138,000 digital singles, a new record for a Country male soloist. "Honey Bee" follows his three consecutive number one hits, "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking," "All About Tonight" and "Hillbilly Bone."
Shelton's last CD, "LOADED: The Best of Blake Shelton," debuted in the top ten on the Country charts, putting him in the small group of artists who have charted three records in one year. Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson also make that list.
Shelton has also been busy one of the musician coaches on NBC-TV's "The Voice" along with Christian Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. "The Voice" airs on Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM (CT).
