The Country music world is honoring the memory of those we lost during the tragic terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, with the first annual Heroes Music Festival. The event will be held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA on September 8th through September 11th.
The four day outing is called "Rock & Remembrance" and will feature a variety of performances from over 36 different acts. The line-up currently includes Mark Wills, Rodney Atkins, Delbert McClinton, Lee Roy Parnell, Jonny Lang, Days of the New, Saving Abel, Skillet, Drowning Pool, and many more to be announced soon.
Heroes Music Festival founder, Charles DeJournett said, "We are pleased in the outpour of artists who are not only willing to share their talents, but understand the importance of the message and significance of Heroes Music Festival overall. This will be a memorable affair for all Americans and music enthusiasts from every corner of the country."
Between sets, local Georgia military members, police, and fire departments will be honored with presentations and acknowledgements. The recipient of the Wounded Warrior Award will be announced, along with a special parachute jumped by the Army Silver Wings.
