Oct 17, 2011
Republic Nashville artist Martina McBride has been busy promoting her new album, "Eleven" which included a national campaign with General Mills' called "Pink Together." McBride traveled across America during her album release week in the "Pink Together Express" during the "Eleven Across America Powered by Amtrak," which included 11 train stops in different cities.
"Pink Together" contributed $1,000 to each of the local Susan G. Komen affiliates at each train stop, donating overall $11,000. This is in addition to its $2 million national donation to the organization. McBride also invited Katie Park from Rapid City, S.D., to join her for the journey, where she served as the "Pink Together Survivor Ambassador" for her survival of breast cancer.
In other McBride news, this November she will celebrate the return of the Royal Caribbean International to New Orleans, LA, with a special live performance. She will perform on the "Voyager of the Seas," on Saturday, November 19th. The concert for invited guest will take place before the ship departs on its Western Caribbean Thanksgiving cruise.
