Don Williams
Apr 2, 2012
Country great Don Williams will release a new album, "And So It Goes," on June 19th. It will be his first album release since 2004. Don has spent recent years living on his farm in Tennessee, but he went back into the studio with producer Garth Fundis for this album. Williams will also go on tour to promote the project.
"I didn't do this album because I just felt that I was going to die if I didn't do another one, but because of all of that encouragement to do it," Don told GAC. "So here we are-and now I'm feeling good about it."
Don has some special guests on the album including Keith Urban, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill. They contributed both instrumentals and vocal backing to the project.
"We weren't looking to reinvent Don, just to make a good new Don Williams record," Fundis said.
"The only description that I've ever had for songs I choose to do is that they affect me emotionally and that, hopefully, they have something to say that will touch other people," Don said. "When we started back up again, it was like we'd never quit."
