Arista Nashville artist Brad Paisley and wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley are encouraging people to join them in donating to achieve cleaner water in Haiti.
The Paisley's are supporting the "Live Beyond" nonprofit group, led by Dr. David and Laurie Vanderpool. Since the 2010 earthquake, the group has been dedicated to providing clean water for Haiti. Brad and Kimberly have gotten highly involved in this cause, both volunteering and donating, and they are encouraging others to join them with "The Paisley Challenge."
"Clean water leads to healthy people, which leads to less time trying to survive and more time trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives," said Brad Paisley.
"The Paisley Challenge" is a partnership with The Paisleys and Live Beyond to provide clean water in Haiti and to challenge others to donate. The challenge is encouraging donations to the "Live Beyond...Thirst" campaign, which targets establishment of 100 clean water collection sites supporting the entire community of Thomazeau, Haiti.
"Going to Haiti really opened my eyes to the plight of these hundreds of thousands of people--many of them mothers, fathers, and children--who are our neighbors. With "Live Beyond...Thirst," we can help give them a basic human necessity they have never had: Clean water. I want to show them they are not forgotten," said Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
Live Beyond... Mobile Medical Disaster Relief is a nonprofit organization providing medical and disease relief to countries all over the world, including Haiti, Ghana, United States, and many more.
