Pop-turned-Country group Exile is gearing up for a new tour in 2013, and this tour will mark a huge milestone in the band's career.
The "50 Years In Music Tour" will celebrate the band's 50 years of success, stemming from their beginnings in Richmond, Kentucky in 1963. Founding member- lead singer and lead guitarist JP Pennington- along with band mates Sonny LeMaire (bass, vocals), Les Taylor (guitar, vocals), Marlon Hargis (keyboards, vocals) and Steve Goetzman (drums), kicked off the tour Tuesday (1/29) at the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City, MO. It is anticipated to run through April 2014.
In addition to the live music, Exile will be featured in a radio special produced by Cool Broadcasting, in which the guys reminisce about touring the world and sharing the stage with Pop, Rock and Country icons such as Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Reba and George Strait. They plan to make several studio appearances at Classic Rock and Country radio stations throughout their home state of Kentucky. A book, titled "Life In Exile: A Journey Home," is in the works and will include in-depth and exclusive interviews from past and present band members, staff members, road crew, family and friends.
