American Greetings Corporation has launched a new line of paper and virtual greeting cards featuring Big Machine Records artist Taylor Swift.
The cards can be sent to friends and family through traditional methods, or via a free mobile app that is available on iTunes and Google Play. Users simply pick a card, personalize it, and send to someone's email address or cell phone. The virtual cards can also be posted on Twitter and Facebook.
Each card design will be inspired by Swift's album, "Red." The virtual cards will include ambient music from the album. Users with a touch screen computer will also be able to personally hand-sign their card. While fans initially browse the available designs, a Taylor Swift "Red" jukebox is available to listen to the album. The app also includes a store locator to find the paper versions of Taylor Swift greeting cards.
"We are thrilled to bring the Taylor Swift card collection directly to the hands of her biggest fans and greeting card enthusiasts. We've seen great success with the paper card collections and believe the free mobile app is a natural next step in allowing fans to personalize a card that's uniquely them - and uniquely Taylor Swift," said American Greetings VP of licensing, Michael Brown.
"Sending a card has always been one of my favorite ways to let people know I'm thinking of them. I love that I can share this new card experience with my fans and give them a fun and easy way to reach out to the people they love," said Swift.
Throughout Taylor's 2013 "Red" tour, coordinating updates will be available on the greeting card app. Visit www.TaylorSwiftCards.com for additional information.
