Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook, better known as Alabama, are set to launch their 2013 Back to the Bowery Tour with a free fan appreciation concert to relive the memories made from the very stage where it all started at the Bowery back in 1973.
On Thursday, April 4th, Alabama will perform at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach, SC for those who have supported their career over the past 40 years. Current fan club members will have the opportunity to win their way into the intimate concert through a special lottery drawing. There, however, will be remaining standing room only capacity available on a first come, first serve basis.
Back in 1973, Alabama first got their musical start at the Bowery when the three cousins from Ft. Payne, AL, were selected as the venue's summertime house band. From that point forward, they became a venue favorite.
Since then, their career has taken them many places and has now led them to their 2013 tour. Officially kicking-off Friday, April 5th, the 2013 "Back to the Bowery Tour" will begin with two sold out shows at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach.
In addition to their new tour, the group will also set sail on their first "ALABAMA & Friends Festival at Sea" cruise, happening Thursday October 24th through Monday, October28th. The cruise will venture from Miami to the Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay. Fans will get to meet the band and take home autographed memorabilia, as well as be treated to several activities over the four days. Cabins for the cruise go on sale Wednesday, March 20th, and can be purchased by logging onto www.alabamafestivalatsea.com.
