Southern Ground/Atlantic group Zac Brown Band (ZBB) and Camp Southern Ground are supporting the efforts of April's Autism Awareness Month.
On Tuesday, April 2nd, ZBB Tweeted, "ZBB is happy to support our friends at @autismspeaks (https://twitter.com/autismspeaks) and @campsoutherngrd (https://twitter.com/campsoutherngrd) for World Autism Day! Find out more: www.lightitupblue.org #LIUB."
Camp Southern Ground is ZBB member Zac Brown's not-for-profit camp and retreat center whose programs serve children with both typical and special needs. The camp posted on Facebook, "The day has finally arrived - World Autism Awareness Day!!!! Today we must not forget the individuals we are celebrating! We honor each and every one of them as we show our support by Lighting It Up Blue!! Let's work together every day to spread autism awareness and to raise funds for research and programs. We also call on President Obama and Congress to create a plan that will help EVERYONE affected! So go and get your BLUE on!!" They also tweeted, "Help @autismspeaks (https://twitter.com/autismspeaks) Light It Up Blue for World Autism Awareness Day!"
Autism Speaks is an organization who celebrates "Light Up Blue" along with the international autism community, in commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, which happens during the second day of Autism Awareness Month. "Light Up Blue" is a unique global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month and helps raise autism awareness.
