Randy Travis
Jun 30, 2013

When Randy Travis burst on the Country music scene in 1987 with his landmark "Storms Of Life" album, he was quickly compared to legends of the genre such as George Jones for his traditional vocal sound.
In the wake of Jones' recent passing, Travis has recorded a tribute song to the Country music icon titled, "Tonight I'm Playin' Possum." On it, Travis is joined by Joe Nichols, another artist respected for traditional roots. The tune will appear on Travis' upcoming album release, which is coming this fall.
Fans attending the CMA Music Festival in June got to see Travis perform the song live during his appearance at LP Field in Nashville.
Travis is streaming the song in its entirety on his website, RandyTravis.com. It's also available on iTunes.
