When Toby Keith delivers his next album, "Drinks After Work" on Tuesday, October 29th fans will have a standard 10-cut version and 13-track deluxe edition to choose from.
One of the three bonus cuts off the extended album, "Chuckie's Gone," is a tribute to Keith's longtime bandleader and bass player Chuck Goff, who died unexpectedly earlier this year.
As Keith explains in the album's liner notes, "This album is dedicated in memory of Chuck Goff, our longtime bandleader-bass player. He will live on forever in our thoughts and in our performances. We miss ya, Shmudlo."
Keith has surrounded himself with familiar collaborators for "Drinks." Scotty Emerick, Bobby Pinson and Rivers Rutherford return as co-writers on multiple songs. Keith is the sole producer and shares songwriting credits on nine cuts.
