Roseanne Cash
Sep 29, 2013

The last time we heard new music from Rosanne Cash was 2009, when she delivered critically acclaimed, Grammy nominated "The List." She's back, with "The River & The Thread," due for release on Blue Note Records, Tuesday, January 14th, 2014.
Of course many remember Cash from her run in the 80's when she began racking up 11 #1 singles on Country radio. And she's no stranger to making successful albums ether, evidenced by 1981's "Seven Year Ache" and 1987's "King's Record Shop"
For "The List," Cash again teams with husband John Leventhal, who doubles - or should we say, triples - as producer, arranger and guitarist. Oh and yes, he co-wrote all of the album's 11 songs with Cash too.
"The River & The Thread" track listing includes:
- A Feather's Not A Bird
- The Sunken Lands
- Etta's Tune
- Modern Blue
- Tell Heaven
- The Long Way Home
- World Of Strange Design
- Night School
- 50,000 Watts
- When The Master Calls The Roll
- Money Road
On Thursday, December 5th, Cash begins a three-day residency at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
