Florida Georgia Line Breaks Dirt For Charity
With the release of their new single "Dirt" this week, Florida Georgia Line announced plans to bring their lyrics to life via a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Omaze. The Dirt Campaign will utilize fundraising platform Omaze in an effort to raise at least $100,000 to benefit Habitat for Humanity, a global nonprofit which creates affordable housing in partnership with low-income families.
Fueled by the lyrics of "Dirt," Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard were inspired to create the Dirt Campaign. Said Kelley, "From day one, we knew that we wanted to make this bigger than the music and be able to give back in as many ways as we can." Hubbard echoed, "We have been beyond blessed these past few years, putting down our own roots in Nashville. After hearing 'Dirt,' we knew that we wanted to help build houses with people who would not be able to ton their own and we are grateful to join Habitat for Humanity in their efforts."
In addition, the duo is giving back to fans who donate to the Dirt Campaign. Fans can enter to win a trip for two on FGL's "This Is How We Cruise," which will set said on November 8, 2014, out of Miami, Florida. Campaign supporters will also receive fun items for various donation levels, including autographed merchandise and more.
