Brett Eldredge

Brett Eldredge doesn't believe in doing anything unless he does it big. To celebrate his second number one song, "Beat of the Music," Eldredge recently decided to go on a deep sea diving expedition. "It's so hard to get to the top of the charts, you push yourself so much, it feels like you should push a little further to celebrate once you do," said Eldredge. "I like to push myself to live life to the fullest." On Wednesday (7/16), Eldredge and several friends took the plunge to swim with sharks via an expedition arranged through the non-profit group Rock the Ocean. "The people who ran it told us the sharks are curious and would be swimming all around, but respect them and be smart and we'd be fine," Eldredge told People Country after the dive. "I decided right away to be smart!" This wasn't the first time Eldredge took celebration to the extreme; when his single "Don't Ya" went #1, he celebrated by jumping out of a plane! This time, Eldredge came prepared for a unique photo op. "I had this idea to get the #1 plaque and the gold single plaque and take them down with us. I swam over to the shipwreck with the plaques and the sharks, and we snapped some photos. It was such a surreal feeling. I am definitely hooked on sharks!" he stated. All that remains to be seen is how Eldredge will top this if his latest single, "Mean To Me," also goes #1.
