Aug 10, 2014

Show Dog-Universal Music recording artist Josh Thompson will perform at the Field & Stream "2014 Heroes of Conservation Awards." This is the ninth annual event, celebrating the magazine's Heroes of Conservation program dedicated to honoring volunteers across the country involved in grassroots efforts to maintain fish and wildlife habitats.
The Heroes of Conservation finalists will be celebrated at a gala in Washington, DC and presented with a $5,000 grant each. The gala will take place on September 17th, and one honoree will be named Hero of the Year, winning a new Toyota Tundra.
Thompson is an avid outdoorsman, spending nine months living off the land as part of a wilderness survival course. The Wisconsin native also earned a degree in Natural Resources, making him a perfect fit to perform at the gala. "I'm proud to a part of Field & Stream's 'Heroes of Conservation' program this year," said Thompson. "The outdoors have always been such a large part of my life. Whether I'm hunting, fishing, or just hanging in my tree stand, that's where I can be found when I'm not on the road. It's great to recognize the honorees and all of their important accomplishments in conservation."
