As the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum gears up for the opening of the "Alan Jackson" 25 Years of Keepin' It Country" exhibit, the Museum has announced a special item available for viewing the opening weekend only. From August 29th through September 1st, Jackson's 1955 Ford Thunderbird convertible will be on display in the museums Curb Conservatory. Jackson started saving money when he was twelve and purchased the car when he was fifteen, restoring t with his father, Gene. Jackson drove the car through high school before selling it to put a down payment on his first home with his wife. Several years later, his wife tracked down the car, purchased it, and gave it to Jackson as a Christmas gift. The car inspired his 2002 song "First Love" and appeared in the his 2008 video for "Good Time."
