In conjunction with his newly released single, "Stomp," Jared Blake has announced his partnership with Live to be Sober, an addiction referral service. "NBC's 'The Voice' touched on my background as a recovering alcoholic," explained Blake. "My TV fans know only that aspect of my life, and have Live to be Sober as a sponsor provides me the ability and the responsibility to talk further about my personal side."
Several years sober, Blake incorporates an intimate acoustic break in his live show, sitting along and sharing with his audience the personal struggles related to winning back is life after battling addiction. "[During that portion of my set] I play songs that I've written about those times of my life and connect my story with fans in a way that I have never done before," stated Blake. "I am grateful in many ways for Live to be Sober to be a part of the show is the most rewarding kind of sponsorship I have ever had."
Live to be Sober is a no-cost confidential referral service offering 24/7 trained counselors to provide guidance and information to those hoping to help a loved one win their battle against addiction. "Raised between the Bible and the belt, Blake's never lost touch with his small town roots or surrendered his faith - no matter how bleak things became," said Live to be Sober CEO Per Wickstrom. "His story is an inspiration, and together we hope to spread awareness that with the right attitude, the right treatment and the right support, overcoming addiction and living sober can really happen."
Jared Blake will release his EP on September 30th. For more information, visit Blake's official website at www.JaredBlakeMusic.com.
