RCA/Nashville artist Martina McBride and SunnyD have teamed up for a national marketing campaign to encourage the shining moments of children. The "Time To Shine" campaign will include national TV, print and retail elements plus a concert tour sponsorship.
"Every child has their own unique qualities and interests and as a mom I know how important it is to help nurture those attributes. I love that SunnyD is celebrating and encouraging the spirits of kids nationwide and am honored they asked me to help. I can't think of anything more important to champion than our children's future," said Martina.
Consumers are encouraged to go to www.sunnyd.com to share a story about how their child shines for "Time To Shine" contest. The grand prize winner receives $10,000 and a trip to meet Martina at a performance in Nashville. Monthly winners are also chosen to receive gifts scholarships or other prizes to help them achieve their goals. For example, a soccer player might receive a scholarship to a soccer camp. Each entrant receives a free three-month Martina McBride fan club membership and access to behind the scenes footage from the SunnyD Shine All Night Tour.
As part of the campaign, Martina is featured in SunnyD television commercials and she also recorded the "Shine On" jingle for the commercial campaign. Print ads will run in magazines like People and Better Homes & Gardens. Martina can also be found on SunnyD bottles and retail materials.
SunnyD's VW van will be visiting select concerts to offer interactive experiences. Fans will be able to send messages to Martina and enter to win a new iPod loaded with her music. SunnyD will also be tossing out prizes like beach balls and T-shirts and handing out free SunnyD at the concerts.
