"Nashville Arts & Entertainment Magazine" has selected Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill to be recognized in their Nashville Arts and Entertainment Honors issue. In the issue, available on stands now, the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist is praised for his philanthropy.
An avid golfer, Gill started the Vince Gill Pro Celebrity Invitation Golf Tournament - affectionately known as "The Vinny" - to help support Tennessee's junior golf programs. Along with his wife, Amy Grant, Gill is renowned for his charitable spirit which he consistently and continuously pours out into the Nashville community. For his career achievements and philanthropic ventures, Gill has recently been awarded both the 2014 BMI Icon Award and the Leadership Music Dale Franklin Award.
"Nashville Arts & Entertainment Magazine" will make a $1,000 donation to The First Tee Foundation in Gill's honor. The mission of The First Tee Foundation is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
