RCA Nashville artist Chris Young has partnered with Kidde Fire Safety to shine a "Spotlight on Fire Safety." The artist stars in a televised ad campaign highlighting the benefits of Kidde's Worry-Free sealed-battery smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and the peace of mind they can bring to consumers.
The 30- and 15-second spots were filmed on location with the Nashville Fire Department and are airing on ABC-TV stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Houston, Raleigh, Fresno, and Nashville. The campaign will run throughout the weeks surrounding "The 48th CMA Music Awards" on ABC-TV, which will broadcast live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 5th. Kidde representatives and Young will join national and local fire service leaders in Nashville for an official "kick off" the morning of The CMA Awards.
"It really hit home for me the day we filmed the commercial when one of my best friends texted me that he had just gotten his dream job as a firefighter with the Clarksville [Tennessee] Fire Department," explained Young. "I'm glad to know I can help keep him and other firefighters safer at work with Kidde's 'Spotlight on Fire Safety.'"
Young's campaign also includes a public service announcement focusing on simple home fire safety tips, as follows:
- Replace smoke alarms every 10 years. Consider installing smoke alarms with 10-year sealed-in, tamper-proof batteries such as Kidde's Worry-Free alarms.
- Place fire extinguishers within reach on every level of your home.
- Install UL-listed CO alarms on each floor and near bedrooms.
- Create and practice an escape plan with your family.
- Commit to being a safety hero. Staying fire safe helps keep your family safer and reduces the risk of injury and death to firefighters.
