The Valory Music Company artist RaeLynn collaborated with the Boston Brass on October 26th to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of "Music In Our Schools Month." The partnership also debuted a new song entitled "Always Sing," which was written by RaeLynn, Nicolle Galyon, and Jimmy Robbins to highlight the efforst of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). The special performance was a highlight of the NAfME Conference, which centers on the many ways by which "Music Education Orchestrates Success" in school, work, and life. NAfME members will encourage their students nationwide to use their voices and expand their creative minds through music, utilizing inspirational messages and play-on-word lyrics from "Always Sing."
"I grew up in a very musical family, yet my first real experience with playing an instrument began in middle school orchestra," remarked RaeLynn. "I was very fortunate to be exposed to music at an early age and have such a heart for music teachers and the access they give their students to the arts. When we wrote 'Always Sing,' I was thinking of the countless kids across the country, like me, who found a place to belong through music and wanted this to me our anthem."
Valory's parent company, Big Machine Label Group, will partner for a second consecutive year with Give a Note Foundation for the "Music In Our Schools Tour" in March 2015. Give a Note will work to engage schools across the country, asking them to submit their versions of "Always Sing" for yet-to-be-announced surprises along the tour.
