Jan 25, 2015

The George Jones Museum has set an opening date for Friday, April 24th. The date coincides with the second anniversary of Jones' death, which will occur on Sunday, April 26th. As previously announced, the museum will be located in downtown Nashville where it will be housed in a four-story, 44,000 square foot space.
The museum will offer fans an in-depth look at the life and career of "The Possum," including his storied Country music career, his Texas upbringing, his experience as a radio DJ, and his service to our country in the United States Marine Corps. Footage of Jones' live interviews and career moments will be featured, and the space will also include an interactive booth to allow fans to sing alongside Jones. The museum will include a restaurant space, gift shop, and rooftop bar, which will be a perfect complement to the White Lightning moonshine that will be launched at the museum's grand opening.
