American Country musician Moe Bandy has put together a benefit show for Songwriter Hall of Famer and friend Whitey Shafer that will take place on Wednesday, February 18th at The Nashville Palace. The show will kick off at 6p (CT) and feature an impressive lineup that includes Moe Bandy, T. Graham Brown, Jeannie Seely, John Conlee, and many more.
Shafer has been suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a lung disease, which is famous friends hope to raise money to battle. Bandy, whose career highlights include ten number one songs, forty top ten hits, sixty-six charted releases, and five gold albums attributes his success to his friend, Shafer. "Whitey wrote my first five hit singles, and over the course of my career, I have cut 33 Whitey Shafer songs," explained Bandy. "I know I wouldn't be where I am today if Whitey hadn't come to Music Row." Shafer penned some of Country's most impactful songs of the past four decades, including the George Strait hits "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind" and "All My Ex's Live In Texas" along with many others.
