Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood
Feb 8, 2015
Garth Brooks has seemingly confirmed that he and wife Trisha Yearwood are in the process of recording their first full-length album of duets. Brooks told "The Oklahoman" during a press conference in Tulsa (http://newsok.com/video-garth-brooks-trisha-yearwood-talk-about-touring-duets-album-oklahoma-and-more-before-tulsa-run-ends-this-weekend/article/5385249) that "right now, the album that we are starting is the Christmas duets. It's our first duet album ever, and it'll be a Christmas one. And for me, that's a great way to stick your toe in the water. We're finally under the same label together."
Brooks and Yearwood both signed to RCA Nashville last year and have since put out solo albums. In the past, the two have cut duets including "In Another's Eyes" and "The Call," but never have the produced a full-length studio album of duets. The couple's voices have blended since their respective careers began, with Yearwood handling background vocals on many of Brooks' early hits, most notably handling the high-pitched harmonies on Brooks' mega-hit "Shameless."
The power couple is currently on tour, hitting Pittsburgh this past weekend and announcing a Sacramento set of shows for March. For more information about upcoming tour dates and music, visit www.GarthBrooks.com or www.TrishaYearwood.com.
