Kacey Musgraves
May 31, 2015

Mercury Nashville artist Kacey Musgraves will become the first Country artist to grace the cover of New York-based music magazine "The FADER" when it hits newsstands Tuesday, June 30th. The magazine visited Musgraves on tour in her home state of Texas to discuss her upcoming album, "Pageant Material," her upstart in the music industry, and how she's breaking the mold. "I'd rather lose for what I am than win for something that I'm not," Musgraves told "The FADER."
Musgraves' often co-writer and co-producer Shane McAnally also weighed in on Musgraves' talent and contribution to the format in the upcoming issue. "It's not what's on the radio right now, but I would like to think that we're working to change that," remarked McAnally. "Those choruses, and the way she sings? It's all right there, the singalong-ability of commercial Pop songs of all of our history."
