Keith Urban

Capitol Nashville star Keith Urban debuted his brand new single, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" live on CMT-TV's "CMT Music Awards" on Wednesday, June 10th. The single, available at radio now, is the first release from a forthcoming album from Urban. And though it was Urban's first time sharing the song with a national audience, it wasn't his first time performing it for an audience. Back in February, during the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville, Urban shared the song with Country radio programmers from across the nation shortly after having it pitched to him.
"'John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16' was sent to me a few months ago by one of the songwriters, and I loved it immediately - loved it so much that right before I walked out on stage at the Ryman for CRS a few months back, I thought I'd play the song solo acoustic to see what the audience thought," said Urban. "Flash forward, and there's no doubt that their response that day helped make it the first single from what will be my next album." No better room to try out new music than among those who will decide whether or not to spin it. New music first - just another reason to book your early reservations for CRS 2016.
