Brantley Gilbert
Jun 14, 2015

Noted supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and Valory Music Co. artist Brantley Gilbert has made a lasting impact on the lives of many, but Staff Sgt. Justin Patterson didn't know who Gilbert was until they back fast friends on a recent motorcycle ride for the charity organization. After meeting Gilbert, getting to know him, and striking up a friendship during the ride, Staff Sgt. Patterson was so taken by Gilbert's work with the Wounded Warriors Project that he gifted the singer his own Purple Heart medal in a video that has since gone viral.
Thankful, and lacking in ways to return the gesture, Gilbert surprised Staff Sgt. Patterson during a recent interview on Fox News Network's "FOX & Friends" with a video message of his own. Gilbert and his fiancé were unable to attend the "CMT Music Awards" on Wednesday, June 10th in Nashville, so he gifted his seats in the artist section to Staff Sgt. Patterson and his wife, saying, "We'd love you to be there representing us that night."
