Luke Bryan
Aug 9, 2015

Luke Bryan just had the best week ever. The Capitol Nashville artist began last week with the #1 song in the country with "Kick The Dust Up." That track is the lead single from his latest studio album, "Kill The Lights," which dropped on Friday of last week. But if you think those book-ending accomplishments are great, wait until you hear how he spent the rest of his week.
Bryan officially launched his latest single, "Strip It Down," sending it to Country radio and debuting it on ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" on Friday and spent Friday evening participating in a Yahoo live stream concert event on the Live Nation Channel. Thursday saw him hosting an iHeartRadio album release party in NYC for "Kill The Lights," which was broadcast on iHeartRadio. He also capped a Twitter and Target partnership promotion called #LukeBox on Thursday, taking requests from fans and writing personalized songs on the spot to perform via the live feed. Wednesday, Luke kicked off a new Facebook platform for fan interaction called Facebook Mentions. Similar to Twitter's Periscope, it allows for instant fan interaction; Luke used the time to share new music with fans before the "Kill The Lights" street date. Tuesday night, Luke appeared on ABC-TV's "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock" special filmed during the 2015 CMA Music Fest in Nashville earlier this summer. Somewhere during his spare time last week, he even managed to become the talk of the town with a new Yankee Candle inspired by him. The scent is said to be a mix of vanilla, bourbon, and something distinctly Luke; one can only guess hip gyrations and tight jeans.
