Steve Earle and City Winery are partnering up to present, "John Henry's Friends: The Concert Benefitting The McCarton School, An Educational Program For Children With Autism." Earle will host the event, set for Monday, December 14th at 8p (ET) at New York City's Town Hall. The line-up features Jackson Browne, Justin Townes Earle, The Mastersons, and Steve Earle & The Dukes. The proceeds of the show will go to The McCarton School in New York City, which offers a year-round one-on-one educational program for children ages three through 18 who have autism. Having an autistic five year old son, Earle is proudly promoting this cause.
"They say never meet your heroes," said Earle. "But I've known Jackson Browne for a couple of decades and he's never once let me down." About his older son, he added, "Justin Townes Earle has grown up to be a great songwriter, a dynamic performer and the kind of man that doesn't have to be asked twice to suit up and show up for his little brother." Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit www.steveearle.com.
