Sony Music Nashville
had much to celebrate at a gathering at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum following the 44th Annual CMA Awards, co-hosted by Arista labelmates Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. The evening saw top nominee and birthday girl, Columbia Nashville artist Miranda Lambert, walk away with three awards, claiming Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year ("The House That Built Me") and Album of the Year (Revolution), while Brad Paisley took home the night's top honor with his first win as Entertainer of the Year.
Among the show highlights was a special tribute to Country great Loretta Lynn, which included an introduction by Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek (who portrayed Lynn in the film, Coal Miner's Daughter). The tribute also featured a surprise appearance by Lynn, who joined Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow to perform "Coal Miner's Daughter," their collaboration on the classic song that also marks the first single from the just-released album, Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn.
