ABC-TV's "American Idol" season 12 contestant Janelle Arthur joined Ryman Hospitality Properties WSM-A/Nashville's Charlie Mattos, Megan Alexander and Bill Cody via Zoom to discuss her new duet, "Hand Me Downs," with her musical hero Dolly Parton. The song was written and co-produced by Arthur, who says, "Not only am I singing with one of my greatest musical heroes, but the sound of my mother’s heartbeat is heard throughout the song." Mike Molinar's Big (Machine) Moment
Big Machine Music (BMM) GM Mike Molinar was inducted into Middle Tennessee State University's (MTSU) College of Media and Entertainment Wall of Fame last Wednesday (4/14). The ceremony was held in the campus' new Chris Young Café, where Molinar, a 2020 inductee from the Department of Recording Industry, was joined by his wife and their two sons, as well as dear friend and industry manager Martha Earls. BMM's leader since its inception, Molinar was previously named a member of the 2012-2013 MTSU Class of of Distinguished Alumni. Pope Gives Hope
Cassadee Pope stopped by John Overton High School in Nashville on Tuesday (3/30) to help celebrate as the school's band received specialized instrument masks and bell covers, helping the students to continue practicing safely.
