Brrrr....
A completely new take on the frozen wet t-shirt from Robbie, Hannah and the groovy gang at Hot 107.9 in Ft. Wayne. This borders on brilliance.
Your Next Club Gig....
We've all done Build Your Own Bikini contests but what Promotional Professional would not revel in the Duct Tape Bikini contest?
Street Teamer Auditions
One of the iHeart stations is doing group interviews next week which, again, is an outstanding way to weed out all the shy, socially anemic interns who would hide in the van and text. The goal is to get them together, torture them with games and activities and observe. This is a GREAT starting list ripped straight from the pages of Freshman Orientation Week, arguably the most uncomfortable period of forced bonding in anyone's lives.
The Stuff That Pandora Can't Do, Part II
Radiowave 96.7 in Windhoek had a caller who was frantic because his parent's car had just been stolen. They did an Amber Alert kind of APB on the station and it was recovered in an hour. Ya gotta love "local".
Marrying Two Holidays
Not enough stations borrow elements from holidays and "events" and tie them together. So God Bless The Silly People(tm) at at Island 106 where they're going to use a football betting board to determine what random male listener will get a date with what random female listener. From Marc Summer, and it's been HUGE:
I have an idea combining the Super Bowl AND Valentines Day. Make a Super Bowl box (5x5 or 10x10), single women looking for a date across the top representing home team, and single men looking for a date down the side representing the away team. Draw numbers 0-4 or 0-9 randomly and issue one to each woman and each man. If the Super Bowl score is Home 27 - Away 20. Woman number 7 and Man number 0 would be our winning couple. They would receive a blind date package of whatever we put together for Valentines Day.
