When Jeanne Ashley was doing middays at Star in KC one of her self-imposed job descriptions was “Give people stuff to kill time at work.” She did Caption Contests, a version of Mix/Cincy’s Work Search where she’d throw out an item and you’d need to find and post, and a Hot UPS Driver gallery.

I believe that at one point her page had 8000% higher engagement than an entire CBS Rhythm station.

People like to share funny videos that they’ve stumbled on. Great. Have them share with you and highlight or feature one a day as you help the audience kill time at their home office.

Butter Carving

The NY State Fair is also on hiatus until next year and to help fill the void, 93Q in Syracuse is keeping one of the annual events afloat and is hosting their own butter carving contest.

Tank The Teacher

96.1 NOW-FM in San Antonio just wrapped up “Toss The Teacher” and one teacher who raised the most funds for school supplies was tossed out of a plane. $16,000 raised and just waiting for the video.

Generally speaking, teachers are a cool group of individuals who will do things like shaving their heads to reward their kids for things like hitting reading goals.

What if you did Tank The Teacher? Teachers set goals for fundraising to purchase school supplies and when they hit their mark, the kids can dunk him/her either in person or you set up a tank and they can do it virtually by pressing Ctr-T.
