Dog Watering Stations
The Art of Promotions is knowing where the audience is and then finding an excuse to be there and in their face.
Last Summer I took my kids to a park in Minneapolis and coming back we looped around Lake Calhoun. And there were approximately 18 million people walking their dogs. It stuck me that it would be awfully simple and inexpensive at these kinds of places (and every market has one) for a station to put out some bowls and a sign or two, and then sit in a lawn chair and compliment people’s dogs as they stop.
How do you “get” people? Through their kids and their pets.
You’ll need a sign. A bowl. A DJ who would like to spend some time in the sun and of course water. And a sponsor.
Dine 1 1
It’s rumored that Marconi did the first at-work food delivery to a shoe repair store in 1922. The cobblers had answered a trivia question on the Morning Zoo by telegraph and pizza was brought to their store the next day.
Food deliveries have always just been a great excuse to mingle with the masses. It’s great marketing. Obviously “how/where” people work has changed and every company/cluster has their own COVID-era policies.
But this is brilliant and from a food truck I spotted this weekend in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.
Great name. Steal it.
