KDWB in Minneapolis has been the victor in every head-to-head that they've had at concerts with their "competition". Last months blood bath at Gaga was especially impressive since it comes in the middle of the biggest event of the year: the Minnesota State Fair.

They recruited...wait for it...AE's to help bulk up the army on site and these people were standing at all the exits handing out bounceback slips with a song to listen to in the 8 am hour today for $1000. They also had a 1000 little blinky lights that KOB-FM debuted at No Doubt last year. These were gone in minutes, and they are also the most recent station to employ highway message boards. I think we did this at a Janet show at Wild in SFO circa 1994 for the first time. Cheap and huge.

The Gaga shows are like Bieber; people will be down there early and there WILL be live TV shots during the 5 and 6 news. KDWB was down there in the afternoon yesterday and will be again for her show tonight.

Last School Standing

If you're going to do any kind of School Spirit thing, now would be the time. Before the kids get busy, tired or diverted. Hot in Houston did LSS. Changed the legal ID that ran from the morning show's announcement at 8 a.m. Friday through end of day Sunday to the attached...even added little 'ol Booneville NC to one of our cities of license.

Creatively photoshoped the attached photo of Kenny signing the certificates (the record guy took the pics in a control room setting...I just added a few Wolf things to the shot) and put it on Facebook...the crowd went wild. People were wondering why we didn't talk about Kenny coming to the radio station over the weekend, and why they weren't invited to come...real viral stuff dude...
