Re: Are OLDIES really bad (dead)?

It's amazing to hear the same crap on most oldies/classic hit stations.

Usually rock oriented. Seems the POP Classic Hit Stations do better. Even the TRUE Gold Based AC stations do well. Lot of programmers shying away from a lot of good POP and R&B in my humble opinion.

Jingles

Has anyone noticed how jingle packages sound now? The Quality is really bad. Hyper compression and clipping. So irritating. Compare jingles today compared to 30 years ago.

Also If I hear one more Country artist say his favorite music is ROCK or POP I'm going to Puke! :o

No I don't expect to get paid six figures for two minutes of talk an hour. Then again I did much more personality than that and yes I g...

I had a GM friend of mine ask me why is it so hard for him to find a good afternoon talent? He said all they want to do is do their show and leave. I told him this: When you pay 23,000 a year and no benefits or even part time wages in most cases people will have to carry two jobs (or more) So when a...

Why do you keep putting ads on all access and others announcing your opening over and over and over again. Wake up dingle-berry! The reason few are responding is you're paying 23K, no moving expenses, etc. DUH
