If his song is such a big hit why has his album sold only 97,000 copies in what a year now. You have many people asking the samething over on many boards how this awful screamfest is getting played.

I agree it's not a great song, but let's look @ the tempo of the top 25 right now, 14 of 25 are med-down to down tempo, so something with a little pep is needed. Especially between 5 min anthems from Taylor & Rascal, and to counter the stink bomb from Kenny Chesney (don't even get me started here). And yes it sucks that they feel like they have to 'add' this song to an album to make it sell more to core, but record companies are having to get creative to sell more albums these days. Cause let's face it, people aren't buying 'em the way they used to. Merle Haggard released 3 albums a year in '68, '69, '76 & '77, that wouldn't ever happen today...unless you count re-releases with new songs added. ;)

'Til I rule the world,

"Bonfire" was not included on the original release of Craig's album, "That's Why." It was released later on a re-issue of the album. And album sales are down for EVERYONE this year. People don't buy whole albums much these days anyway, especially now that they can just buy whatever songs they like from the album.

Isn't there a better place for you Tim McGraw groupies to chat...I mean really...doesn't his fan club have a message board?

Back when I was president of the Lee Greenwood fan club we had a very active board-

Happy holidays

Hoseppy, gijoenurse is a HUGE Tim McGraw fan. I think she's out to get anyone who ISN'T a fan or anyone who doesn't play Tim's songs, discuss him in the news, etc.
