SUBJECTS FOR THE JOB BOARD

Post by johnwilson25 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 12:49 pm

Please put the market, format and position/shift in the Subject line.

Bad Subject: New Year, New Job
Good Subject: COUNTRY AFTERNOONS/APD- DANBURY CT

There were 800 ppl clicking on that to find out it was a sales job. With a better subject only 100 ppl would click on it. Time wasted for 700 ppl. I often read in the jobs, "don't waste your time or mine." But what they really mean is don't waste my time and your time is not as important. If you are not putting location, position and format in the job post you are wasting everyone's time. Ok, i feel better getting that off my chest. Also, if it is a volunteer position that should be in the subject to.

What are some good and bad subjects you have seen?

"Make Babies In Fort Wayne" is still my worst ever. Of course, Fort Wayne is so BORING that all there is to do -- is screw.

I always hate it when they use station monikers...

"Come work at the Wolf...

"The brand new 99x...

Opportunity at Mix 97...

etc.

They never say what the name of the city is...or the call letters. PD's should THINK before they post.

Yes, "Making Babies in Fort Wayne" may be the most moronic headline I've seen so far. Sounds like
that's the only positive spin they can put on a city like Fort Wayne.
