"You are a bitter old twit. If personality is banned, why have anyone in the studio at all?"

Jala, you are so clueless with that comment, it's almost cute. THAT is EXACTLY the situation in many radio stations nowadays, one of the many reasons so much of what you hear in many cities sucks so bad, and one of the many, many reasons radio is struggling.

And many of those who are in studios, they gotta keep it "light, tight, bright", time, temp, liner card, song title and artist.

And then, in your post, you continue to berate the guy even though you seem to be confirming his point (about oppressive management).

Jala, you are living proof that the internet has no IQ check at the gate.

Jala OBVIOUSLY hasn't been in radio. Welcome to the insanity Jala, that IS the case. 9 times out of 10 there isn't anyone in the studio and it serves a few interests. It allows the station to save money, it created pre-recorded breaks that are safe and UNINTERESTING (but also not going to get anyone in trouble), it also allows talent to be replaced at anytime. If talent isn't allowed to make themselves stand apart, then there will be no unique connection to the audience and management can move talent around with no audience backlash. Yep, it sucks, that's why I am out of it and it's also why I bitch about it. Radio should be an awesome gig and a great atmosphere. It isn't.
