Haiti: What Is Your Station Doing To Help?

Post by jdenver » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:05 pm

We are seeing an entire nation on the brink of collapse at the hands of Mother Nature. Are you involved? What are you doing to make difference in Haiti's recovery? Share your thoughts, please!

We teamed up with a group of local car washes and during our live remote all the money spent on washes went to the American Red Cross... In a course of 4 hours, between our two stations we raised over $2100. Put the station out on the streets for exposure, basically a 3-4 commercial for the car wash, and cash to the Red Cross.

Heard WRXP, NY doing "Requests for Relief," charging $100 per request to go to the Salvation Army to aid Haiti. Don't know if other stations are doing it but it's a great idea.
