Inspite of the recession we are experiencing, and the large numbers of people who are unemployed, Family Life Communications (FLC) of Tuscon, Arizona is struggling to fill job openings.

FLC has a stellar reputation with organizations like EFCA (Evangelical Counsel for Financial Accountability and Charity Navigator. Their facilities are also among the best in the nation. The equipment is of recent vintage and of the kind you would find in large markets and many of the people there are very talented.

While FLC appears to be a fine place to work, they are constantly advertising all over the internet to fill jobs, and many of them go vacant for years at a time, especially in the engineering department.

Why is that? According to former employees, who asked to remain anonymous, it's how they treat their staff. One person claims to have been dismissed abruptly and for no apparent reason. An engineer said they make you work long, hard hours until your work is done; often 10 and 12 hour days; and then there is the paper work to deal with. Another said there is someone in the big office I don't get along with.

I sincerely hope that one day the internal issues at FLC will be resolved and their need for staff will be filled.
