Hi Doc: I have a cousin who is a doctor who specializes in food intolerances. He has appeared on radio stations across the country that have health segments, and he would like to make himself available to more stations. The problem is that he doesn't know how to find them. Is there some sort of list available that might help? Thanks. - David

David: There may be a list of radio stations that have health shows or segments, but I can't find it. However, there is an alternative.

Your cousin may not want to limit his potential by searching only for radio stations that currently have health shows or segments. His information may be something that many radio stations might be interested in carrying, particularly News/Talk radio stations.

There may be other ways to find News/Talk radio stations, but one of the easiest approaches I know of is to use the "Industry Directory" here on AllAccess.com. Here is what you do . . .

In the "Industry Directory" box on the right side of the AllAccess.com home page, click on the Advanced Search at the bottom of the box. When you get there, click on the drop down menu in the "Category" line, scroll down to "Radio – News/Talk/Sports" and select that. This will give you all the News/Talk/Sports radio stations in the database - a huge list. You may want to make the list more manageable by selecting only one state at a time.

The search will show you the information you need to contact the radio stations. I hope that helps and good luck to your cousin.
