Party 87.7

Post by tuneguru84 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 1:26 pm

WPTY does pretty well out in Long Island for a local station. Can the music and vibe from Suffolk County translate to Party 87.7? Vic Latino knows NYC -- but so did Joel Salkowitz.

Will the signal limitations doom this station to only limited success?

Well, if Vic, who knows NYC has his way, he will try and take a chunk outta everyone's ass.

No big overhead leaves him $$$ to market it and do on the street stuff in the clubs.

Could be one fun battle to watch.

And someone in that market should give Joel Salkowitz a stick. He's smart and did a great job with spit and bailing wire at Pulse 87.7.

I think NYC is excited for this station and has been waiting for it for a long time! Excited to see what the
first numbers will be for this station.

:!: Well, Party is no longer on 87.7. Now it is just straight up dance music for now. Rumor is that KAWZ, the christian programming station will lease WNYZ.
