Question about Radio Promotion and Distribution

My dad, Jimmy Eugene (http://www.jimmyeugene.com), is an artist and has been getting substantial airplay on independent radio. His music typically goes out on CDX CDs to numerous stations. His promoter, Bill Wence, does a great job of promoting him to these independent stations.

How does syndicated radio receive new media? How does one promote music on syndicated radio?

His latest single, "Stuck On You", is charting on STS (New Music Weekly) and IndieWorldCountry.com

However, I never see him on Mediabase or the other charting systems.

How do we remedy this?

I would suggest getting to know some DJ's personally and getting them the music. Also, many DJ's will play music when it is requesteed by a lot of people. I checked out the single, and I really like it. Try getting it out to more people, getting some blog coverage, etc. Good Luck!
