best Headphones?

Post by Carlota69 » Tue Sep 27, 2011 2:41 pm

I have for many years used Sony V900. Absolutely love them. However, I have to get another pair of headphones and ofbcourse Im considering getting my Sonys, but Im being offered a deal on a pair of Shure 940's. Im wondering if anyone is with these headphones and how do they sound?

Recently I needed a new pair. i also have used Sony V900's for years, but chose to go with Pioneer HDJ2000's. Hands Down best pair of headphones I have ever used!

I own a Senn PX 100 for active duty (gym, biking etc.). I also have a Koss Porta Pro.

Both are around $35 USD and sound fantastic. If you want slightly better then the iGrado and Grado SR60 would come into consideration.

All these have a over the head band. If you want clip-ons, Koss KSC75 are on heck of a deal. They are very very cheap too but amazing VFM.

Cannot go wrong with any of these.

Thanks & Regards

I have always preferred the sound of AKG. Most of their models have a rich tone in my slightly-radio-deaf ears.

Still rockin' the Sony V6s after all these years. Might mess with my audio perception if I switched now. You may want to think about that as well Carlota baby!
