Artist Photos in FB Ads
Is there any legal issue with using photos from the artist's website in Facebook ads for your station? Facebook now has a policy that less than 20% of your ad can be text, which included our logo in our case. I assume that the artist would have no issue with you promoting them in your ad? Specifically, I'm thinking of making a collage of artist photos surrounding our logo in the middle....thoughts??

When you do an ad on FB, they review it before they allow it to be ran. Make your ad up and submit it. If there is a problem, they will tell you and refuse to run it.

I did the same collage thing for our station...looked great. No objections from anyone yet!
If they DO have a problem with you doing it, its obviously a 'control' thing, because its all good, as the kids say.

You should be safe using the photos from the artist's website. Do not use photos from anywhere else (gossip websites, etc.) as they are protected by copyright.
If you want to be extra safe, I'm sure contacting the media people for the artist would net you official press photos.
