ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER – OLEAN NY / BRADFORD PA

Post by wfay » Mon Jul 17, 2017 6:16 am

Here’s your opportunity to be in charge of operations for our seven signals in the Twin Tiers of New York and Pennsylvania and also be on the air in multiple markets. Colonial Media + Entertainment owns/operates a 7 FM / 0 AM group spread out over a forty mile radius between Olean NY and Bradford PA (Nielsen Audio #224). If you enjoy “four seasons” living in a resort area and a small-town quality of life, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Right now, Colonial Media + Entertainment is currently seeking applicants for an Assistant Operations Manager position. Colonial Media + Entertainment is a forward-thinking, fast-moving, and FUN company with 17 signals in Fayetteville, NC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Olean, NY / Bradford, PA; and Georgetown, SC.

As an Assistant Operations Manager, you'll be responsible to maintain a unique, fresh, and engaging product that will keep listeners tuned in so our advertisers continue to receive a superior Return-On-Investment. You'll be in charge of keeping a working social media presence for your stations. You'll be one of the stars of the stations by picking up daily voice-tracked air shifts, including shifts for our other markets. And you'll interface with sales and promotions staff to coordinate contesting, live remotes, and other initiatives to give your stations a true, in-the-flesh presence in the communities we serve. Additionally, you’ll handle additional responsibilities, such as production, continuity coordination (including spot trafficking), automation systems coordination, news anchoring, and/or basic engineering.

Colonial Media + Entertainment values experience and education, but we're most interested in your attitude. If you're a self-starter; if you have a passion for the broadcasting industry; if you thrive on a turbocharged, exciting work environment; if you have the work ethic of a farmer and the free spirit of an artist - we're looking for you, and we're more than happy to supplement your existing education and experience with on-the-job training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess ability to maintain a positive attitude and desire/ability to learn.
- Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak the English language.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and multitask, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy with work performed.
- Must be able to frequently lift items weighing up to 20 pounds, and infrequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $21,900 - $25,800. The four seasons and small-town quality of life come at no extra charge. To apply, please e-mail a resume and air-check to awesomejob@colonial.fm. Colonial Media + Entertainment and its subsidiaries are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers.
