The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks a general manager to oversee and manage KUNV Radio and serve as part of the leadership of UNLV's Rebel Media Group.

We’re looking for an innovative multi-media professional who can help lead a converged media operation that serves the campus and community while training students for professional media careers.

KUNV is a public radio station that plays a format of “Jazz and More” while serving UNLV and the Las Vegas metro area. It also serves as a laboratory for student staff and volunteers to learn and perform audio announcing, production, and programming.

The Rebel Media Group is a student-staffed, professionally guided media operation that includes KUNV Radio, UNLV TV, and the Strategic Digital Media Agency.

Successful candidates must have at least 5-10 years of experience managing and overseeing public and/or commercial radio operations, with preference given to those who have worked with new media or in a converged media environment.

Expertise in visual, digital and social media is considered a plus. A bachelor’s degree in media communication or related field is required.

Preference will be given candidates with an advanced degree and experience teaching and mentoring college students. Review of candidates will begin ASAP and continue until the position is filled.
