Love to create amazing campaigns that get noticed? Townsquare Media Boise is looking for our next Promotions & Marketing Director. We’re looking for someone who brings creativity, energy, passion, and organization to this essential position with our six-station cluster in one of the most desirable areas in the country.

If you’ve heard Townsquare isn’t just about radio, you’ve heard right. We believe in having the most robust digital presence and dominant events in the region on top of our radio brands. If you love building events, promotions, and catching the attention of an audience, and can work with our Brand Managers and manage a great Promo Team, we need to talk.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists in coordinating and implementing all details involving special events (yearly music festival, concerts, trade shows, expos, holiday parties, etc.) and promotions
• Assists Account Executives (AE’s) in their efforts to formulate promotional packages to their clients, including assisting the AE’s in presenting promotions to their clients
• Structures remote appearances and communicates with clients in advance to coordinate their appearances
• Manages listener database and prize distribution
• Assists in developing station promotional ideas
• Provides status updates to Operations Manager and Brand Managers
• Facilitates weekly promotion meetings
• Serves as company representative for certain community events
• Oversees team of promotion assistants (“Street Teamers”) in regards to staffing and facilitation of events

Education Requirements:

• (2) year college degree and/or (1) year certificate from technical school
• 3-6 months related experience and/or training
• An equivalent combination of the above education and experience

Communication Requirements:

• Knowledge of English usage, spelling, proper punctuation, grammar, and editing techniques; along with the ability to apply same in a creative and concise manner
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures
• Capability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to inquiries from clients, customers, and the general public
• Skill to write press releases, proposals, and process paperwork
• Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience; able to navigate the Internet comfortably

Other Skills & Abilities:

• Must be highly organized and have strong customer service skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines and/or goals
• Must have a valid and clean driver’s license and be comfortable driving station vehicles

*** Must be eager and energetic
